At Elite Flooring, we have a passion for success that motivates us to deliver the highest level of service. We invite you to meet the experienced professionals who help us exceed our customers’ expectations every day.
Sean McCarthy, Owner
Like most entrepreneurs, Sean is competitive. He’s a big thinker who enjoys learning every day, constantly improving his skills and coaching his team in what it takes to win. As an owner, leader and someone who is on the front lines by choice, Sean knows that customers recognize and appreciate his company’s commitment to excellence in everything. He is proud that he and his team demand more of themselves than their customers expect and his pride extends to the competitive spirit Elite Flooring embodies – a spirit that has led the company to make bold moves and realize huge success since its founding in 1996.
Joseph T. Nassar
Joseph T. Nassar, Owner
Originally from Lebanon, Joseph has been in the construction business since college. When he came to the U.S., he applied his knowledge to the flooring industry and gained experience and expertise in all areas related to flooring. His extensive involvement led him to create Elite Flooring with the other two co-founders.
Because of Joseph’s in-depth understanding of flooring and construction in general, he is able to offer customers solutions before problems arise. He believes this is the service his customers deserve. He also understands the value of family – as he should with five children – and he thoroughly enjoys the family atmosphere that exists among the team members at Elite Flooring.
Joseph Riccardo, Owner
Joe’s entrepreneurial spirit and experience in the flooring industry landed him exactly where he needed to be – one-third of Elite Flooring’s founding triumvirate. Fast-forward nearly two decades and Joe remains fired up about the company, partially because he never has a boring day. Challenges, yes, but for Joe, they are learning experiences.
Joe believes the Elite Flooring team is the most impressive thing about his company.

Randy Huggins, Controller
Randy Huggins is a natural born adventurer. His enthusiasm for travel and trying new creative ideas transitioned well into Elite’s concept. There are many journeys a growing company like Elite encounters, which he says he finds exciting.
After graduating from the University of Georgia with a BBA in accounting, Huggins went on to work at HLB Gross Collins. During his time there, he earned his CPA License and was promoted to Senior Accountant. Five years later, he made a move to Rock-Tenn Company, where he worked as a Senior Divisional Accountant for 3 years. Following a year and a half stint as The Atlanta Bread Company’s Corporate Controller, Huggins then found himself at Elite’s front doors where he is looking forward to growing his career.
An avid outdoorsman, Huggins enjoys spending his free time hiking, camping and water boating or kayaking. In between his outings, he spends as much time as possible with his family, particularly his nieces and nephews.
VP of the Carolinas
Marc McClure, Vice President of the Carolinas
Marc is a study in contrasts: his background as an industrial designer inspires him to think outside the box while his MBA gives him the management tools for disciplined business growth. Perhaps it’s his history of deadline-driven design and project management that enables Marc to remain cool under pressure. He channels that pressure into creativity, which has a calming effect on those around him.
For Marc, Elite Flooring is an ideal setting in which to combine his unique talents – it’s a nimble organization that evaluates opportunities, thinks creatively and reacts quickly to solve problems. Marc describes Elite Flooring as the perfect place for him.

That’s more than 13,000 residential units and many commercial sites representing over $90 million.

10 Years and Counting
Bosnian by birth, Elmar Zec started his journey with Elite working in the warehouse, helping load up installers with the materials they needed to get the job done for the day. 10 years later, Elmar is now working as a dispatch manager in addition to helping with warehouse inventory and purchasing. His dedication to the company is evident in his strong work ethic and enthusiasm.
Initially, Elite’s diversity and mixture of cultures is what attracted him to Elite. Though Elite is the first company he has ever worked for, Elmar says he appreciates how the company recognizes the quality and worth of their employees and has room to grow professionally. His positive outlook and outgoing nature always has his peers laughing. Outside of Elite, Elmar channels his introspective energy into playing his keyboard and creating music.
Juan is a long way from his native Mexico, but he has made a home with the Elite Flooring family. He has spent more than 20 years in the flooring industry and continues to learn something new every day. He feels very fortunate to be able to use his knowledge to effectively assist customers.
In addition to being thankful to be part of the warm, friendly team at Elite Flooring, Juan is impressed by how much the company has grown since he joined in 1999 – from one office to five across the Southeast. He looks forward to its continued growth.
Nikki is the epitome of a people person: spunky and fun loving. Her outgoing personality has enabled her to build relationships with many customers over the years and she is proud of the fact that most of them still remain her friends. For the woman with a self-described Southern accent that needs to be captioned at all times, Nikki says that there is never a dull moment at Elite Flooring and she has to be on her toes at all times.
When she first came to work at the company, Nikki was shocked to find that the founding owners came to work every day, just like she did. That situation hasn’t changed and she finds that it motivates her to work even harder. She continues to be full of pride at being part of the Elite Flooring team.
Coming from Bosnia, Jazz learned quickly that the flooring industry in the U.S. is quite different from what he observed in Europe. But, that difference and the constant innovation in products and techniques are what keep his job interesting. In addition, he is energized by continually connecting with customers and his Elite Flooring co-workers. But, no matter how much energy Jazz puts into his job, he always has plenty left to play soccer.
Leigh takes her job as seriously as she does her football. This avid University of Alabama fan displays the same fierce loyalty to each Elite Flooring customer as she strives to deliver a game-changing win. Even after more than a decade at Elite Flooring, Leigh is amazed by how many opportunities she has to learn and grow. Staying ahead of new products and trends allows her to propose effective plays for her customers.
One thing that has remained the same, however, is Leigh’s ability to build relationships with her customers. She is proud that she can call them friends, not just customers. And she is proud that staying at the forefront of what’s new in the industry has allowed Elite Flooring to thrive in ever-changing economic climates.
Kelly is a long way from her California home, but since the late 1990s she has been extremely close to Elite Flooring operations. So much so, that she calls herself the female version of Mike Holmes (HGTV’s “Holmes on Homes”) – referring to her extensive knowledge of the flooring industry.
What Kelly enjoys most about working at Elite Flooring is the diverse group of people who are committed to providing exceptional service to customers – and the fresh bagels on Fridays. She is also impressed with the company’s growth, not only since she started working here, but especially since 2009 as many others in the industry struggled or went out of business. Kelly firmly believes the Elite Flooring team will continue to win.
In the early 2000’s, “E,” a New York transplant took a chance on Elite Flooring. It was a new venture for him and one he worked hard to master. Today, “E” uses his flooring experienxce to educate customers about products and their benefits, and he continues to work hard to help his customers be successful.
He enjoys the fact that Elite Flooring is a very positive environment in which to work and he feels like he is an integral part of the company’s vibrant family.
